Würth Group has supported sports as a sponsor for a long time. Würth Group believes that sport connects people from different countries like screws or anchors connect different parts to each other. Without that connecting elements, the world would fall apart.
Team spirit, willingness to perform are essential characteristics of sports, values which also define the corporate culture of the Würth Group. The company has not only international commitments, but also individual Würth companies are engaged in sports sponsoring in various countries.
Since 2013, Würth is the official supplier to the APRC (Asia Pacific Rally Championship). A large range of Würth products, along with technical advice is available at every APRC event.
Football was used as a sponsoring platform for the company since the early 90's. The sport fits very well with Würth because it has the qualities of team spirit, performance, fairness and the will to give the best, which are the attributes that Würth also insists on.
Würth Group has sponsored also winter sports (alpine skiing, biathlon, ski jumping, Nordic combined (a mixture of cross-country skiing and ski jumping), cross-country skiing) and fencing. And even more, in 1999, the fencing club Würth Künzelsau was founded. There, children and adolescents of the Hohenlohe region are supported in the exercise of fencing. Meanwhile, the club has developed into a junior top club for sabre fencing in Germany and won medals at European Championships.
